A new-build residential scheme in the heart of Croydon Town Centre. The scheme contains four apartments on the site of former single storey light industrial building, on a challenging backland site. The proposal looks to form a new verdant courtyard at its heart, onto which the building faces. Accessed via an alleyway from the street, there is no formal frontage to the building, and the windows and openings have been composed to try and capture the informality of this setting, whilst the massing also looks to respond to the proliferation of neighbourly relationships.
